National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for & participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Well, the City of East Point is proud to announce on August 11, 2012 the City will be celebrating 125 years of Excellence, Integrity and Service as a municipality. The City will kick off its celebration on August 7, 2012 5:00-8:00 pm with the National Night Out where the East Point Police Department will be giving away back-to-school supplies to over 200 East Point youth. The East Point Historical Society will also host an Open House on August 10, 2012 to celebrate the rich history of the City of East Point. The City will celebrate its 125th birthday on August 11, 2012 from 6:00 – 9:30 PM with a Celebration in the downtown commons with family fun, live music, a kids zone, and a special birthday presentation.

Our neighbor College Park celebration of National Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7th from 6pm-9pm on the lawn of the College Park Municipal Auditorium. Enjoy family fun with College Park’s finest in law enforcement and public safety at this social gathering on Main Street!
