Tomorrow afternoon the McPherson Implementing Local Redevelopment Authority (MILRA) Board will meet. This could be the meeting we have all be longing for, the one in which a Master Developer could be named for the base redevelopment.. At the last MILRA Board Meeting a Selection Committee was formed to meet, interview, review and make recommendation to the Board for a Master Developer. Whether the MILRA Board will approve the recommendation tomorrow, or seek additional review is yet to be seen. What we do know is that the Selection Committee came to a unanimous decision in making their recommendation.
After a packed house at the kick-off meeting, two different big teams were formed and competed for the job of Master Developer. Carter partnered with HJ Russell & Co.is competing against Cousins who is partnered with The Integral Group.
The next meeting of the McPherson Implementing Local Redevelopment Authority will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the offices of Invest Atlanta, 86 Pryor Street, Atlanta, Georgia.
